My current blog, which has been going since Christmas, has a much tighter focus, and not too demanding a schedule, with somewhere around 70% of the posts fitting that focus, and published weekly; and I've found myself really enjoying the blogging experience.

* But, perhaps the biggest change for me, was that I've stopped worrying if others are reading, and blog for me. I do run Google Analytics, and even check how things are going occasionally; but that's more a matter of interest than being at all concerned about how many people are reading. I just enjoy the process of being able to express some creativity through my writing. And other people actually enjoying it too is a huge bonus.

* And probably the best advice I was ever given in regards to blogging was, "Blog your passion!" Lorelle (http://lorelle.wordpress.com/) wrote it in her book when she signed it before sending on to me.

I don't know if any of that is at all helpful to you. It helps me sometimes to try and clarify my thinking: so if it isn't helpful, ignore it, it hasn't been wasted.

Cheers for now,
...paulAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541340338146610865.post-18250533364968670442008-04-02T22:56:00.000-05:002008-04-02T22:56:00.000-05:00Nice blog. It's tempting to think anything short of perfection isn't worth anything, but letting the messy, partial, imperfect things happen with love and attention is the stuff of life. Maybe as you imply this is one way we reflect God.Mister Royhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11267155438873955450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541340338146610865.post-51399857571791202572007-04-19T17:27:00.000-05:002007-04-19T17:27:00.000-05:00What you propose sounds great.I am waiting.ByeWhat you propose sounds great.

I am waiting.

ByeAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06661179525150095329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541340338146610865.post-55959762037932642632007-04-06T06:18:00.000-05:002007-04-06T06:18:00.000-05:00remarkable stuff, and a huge challenge. Thanks for ...remarkable stuff, and a huge challenge.

Thanks for the reminder.

People have said to me in the past things like, I wish I had your faith and I wish I had your love, but they little know how deficit my loving really is.

Just because I do things that seem loving does not mean that my love is genuine.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05209814376856547595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541340338146610865.post-74704202471650010332007-03-12T17:51:00.000-05:002007-03-12T17:51:00.000-05:00Post denominations? I wonder....

I suspect that most of the historic denominations will be around for a good while yet, even if it means a spate of mergers.

I do think that we're going to see a big rise of the whole simple church / organic church / household church, as more and more Christians look for meaningful ways to connect and live out their faith in ways that are more rooted and accountable.

So, yeah, I'm thinking in terms of a real mixed picture for years to come. But, and this is the vital statistic, interpreted whichever way you like, our failure to dive in headfirst is totally understood by Jesus Christ, whose love for us does not change whatever we do.

There is no degree or level of sacrifice or commitment that is either right or wrong. Only the depth of our love and our individual circumstances will decide what is right for us.

Life with Christ is a balancing act between the love of Christ for us and our love for Christ Jesus. How we respond in love is uniquely right for each of us as individuals, and perfect in the eyes of our loving Heavenly Father, who sees us through the eyes of his son.

The fact that you are looking so earnestly now, and your willingness to be involved to the fullest extent that you are capable, is all that is required of you, and all that will ever be required of you.hughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00413348632432859175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541340338146610865.post-86945085213274675162007-03-08T17:16:00.000-05:002007-03-08T17:16:00.000-05:00Well, let me be the your first commenter Tom!Welco...Well, let me be the your first commenter Tom!

Welcome (back?) to the world of blogging, and I look forward to seeing how your thoughts develop over the next few weeks and monthsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
